Our Live Medical Interview workshop builds on everything you’ve learned in the LMS, giving you practical guidance and strategies to help you ace your Medical Interviews and Multiple Mini Interviews (MMIs)
What we'll cover
We’ll cover everything from what to wear to how to answer the toughest questions, engaging you in conversations where we check your theory and clarify difficult points.
When and Where
This is a group workshop consisting of 3 x 3-hour sessions, run over the course of a couple of days. This year, we’ll run sessions online, because current government restrictions will limit our in-person sessions.

Theory (Part 1) - 2 hour session
Overview
A breakdown of the interview process and what to expect.
Personal Stations
How to approach common personal stations including Motivations, Strengths & Weaknesses, Experiences and more.
Emotional Reasoning
How to deal with common emotional (Conflict, Empathy, Bad News etc.) response stations in both explanatory and acting formats.
Decision Making
Develop skills and approaches to justify and rationalise action in a decisive and meaningful manner.
Theory (Part 2) - 3 hour session
Ethics
Get an in-depth understanding of medical ethics at an appropriate level, including how to navigate tricky ethical scenarios.
Healthcare
An introduction to public health, rural health and indigenous health, from identifying common issues, to discussing possible solutions and ways forward for the future of healthcare.
Cognitive Workshop - 3 hour session
Foundational skills
Recommendations and insight into interview preparation, and best approaches to practice.
Dealing with Anxiety
Develop techniques and practices for turning the pressure of interviews into a manageable affair.
